This will be my 5th year of owning Salone di Essenza.  I have taken various classes with AG, Aquage, Sexy Hair, Toni & Guy, American Crew for men, for cuts, color & up styles. I use Wella Koleston & Colortouch hair color. I am certified in Chi Transformation System (thermal ionic straightening) & the new Keratin Complex Smoothing System for repairing, smoothing out curly, frizzy hair without any damage.

I will create the best style for your hair & lifestyle, whether short, long, straight, or curly. I love color, especially highlighting. I believe hair should have dimension for natural “enhancing” or be more dramatic if you dare.

Hi, My name is Alex. I am originally from the Napa Valley and am now loving the Austin area! Once I became a hairstylist, I knew that I had found my place in the world. I specialize in color and cutting! I love to see the joy on each of my clients when they leave my chair. I am a certified educator for the product named Kevin Murphy and am also certified in the Keratin Smoothing Complex. I strive to keep myself updated and to further my education. I have been a stylist for seven years three of which were spent in Northern California. I am new to Austin and have been lucky enough to find a home with Salon di Essenza. I have a broad range of experience in haircutting and Styling as well as color and product. I was fortunate enough to be in a cosmetology program that was into staying on top of the latest trends. I have been trained in cutting hair by visible changes, Toni & Guy, Redken, and Paul Mitchell representatives. After School, I apprenticed under Joy Dominique in Houston, Texas and gained great knowledge in tailoring every cut, color, and style to fit each individual client. I have participated in many product knowledge classes and plan on continuing to further my education in all aspects of the hair industry. I strive to learn so my clients can look and feel great!
